This is what I do to relax:
- Watch a good sappy black and white film. (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, part 9, part 10)
- Knit a 1930's sweater which is turning out to be one of the simplest projects I've started in a long while.
- Pour myself a glass of red wine.
- Break off a piece of some amazing dark chocolate (which I admit is cheap, but still...sooo good).
- Continue to knit, eat chocolate, and sip wine; glancing up now and then to see Joan Crawford's knees buckle every time Melvyn Douglas enters the scene. (Um, yes, it's incredibly sappy, but who the heck cares?!)
- Repeat steps 1-5.
perfect relaxation!
ReplyDeleteOur conversation was so good last night. Thanks for taking all that time out to talk. I really miss that, an I miss you. I'll be trying to call you more. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the sound of spending one's time like this! (Wish I could join you; chocolate, knitting, wine--could life get any better?! lol)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the sweater progress. ;)
it all sounds heavenly - my relaxation is similar ;)
ReplyDeleteoh lovely!! And eerily similar to my own relaxing technique!! ;) But I usually put on a BBC period drama.....this afternoon it was Under the Greenwood Tree, hot tea and gingersnaps over trimming an 1850's bodice! ;)
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is coming along splendidly!!
Ahh...what a perfect day! I wish I could join you. Well...maybe I can, in spirit, if I can just hunt out those old knitting needles and some yarn!
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me, Anna. :)
Yay for relaxation! I could use some of this. I can't wait to see your knitted sweater. So Cute!
