It's getting darker now with the time being an hour earlier. Took these quick photos after finishing a sample dress. Will make a few changes to the design, but I'm pretty happy with it! It's quite twirlable, I'd say. ;)
I find this time of year the hardest for blogging because by the time I get home from work, it's too dark to take decent photos. Maybe it's time for me to just embrace it. Your photos are beautiful, and I love your hair. Are you glad you grew it out?
yeah, i know what you mean about blogging this time of year! i was just thinking the same thing today. although i work from home, sometimes i don't get around to taking photos until later. today was a dark day anyway, however. i just need to play with the camera and maybe get a tripod. ;) and yes! i'm really glad i grew my hair out. i am still growing it!
That dress looks amazing and your place looks like it has that classic chicago front to it. Makes me miss that city a bit though we'll be heading through and waving at the buildings on our way up to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. I miss (and I can't believe I'm saying this since it's not that old at all) how old the midwest is!
Part of me really hates the time change because I keep trying to go to bed at 7pm...but I also kind of love walking home from work in the twilight (it's my favorite time of day)
And your new dress looks adorable! Love the twirly! And I *love* those windows! What a gorgeous view! :-)

ReplyDeleteYou've captured the melancholy of early darkness so well.
Twirly is always a great property on clothes! :D

what a contrast to your typical rural setting! i do love chicago apartments, and it looks like you snagged a good one.
ReplyDeletei love the proportions on your new dress. it's very french school girl and would be so pretty with vintage lace up ankle boots.
the time change has made photos impossible for me, too. i need to figure out a better lighting situation, everything is much too yellow.
it looks so pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I love the darkness of the photos for how perfectly cozy and autumnal it looks.
ReplyDeleteJoe and I were loving the Chicago architecture last weekend. So many apartment buildings with beautiful bay windows!
I love it!! That peter pan collar is adorable! And you're so pretty!
